DuraAct Patch Transducers

Robust and Flexible Piezo Composites

Patch transducers made of DuraAct are referred to as "Smart Materials" because they possess both sensor and actuator properties. This means that in addition to being able to produce and store an electrical charge, these patch transducers can also be utilized as sensors and actuators. Electrically insulated and strong mechanically, the patented laminated structure is made of piezo ceramic, electrodes, and polymer outer.
